Safety U
Weekly safety briefings your crew will actually read.
Safety U is a free weekly newsletter about workplace safety — plant-floor stories, practical lessons, and a question your crew can discuss in minutes. Ready to share, print, or post.
Written by Derrick Kinzer — Industrial Hygiene Tech and ERGO Rep at Ultium Cells in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Real plant-floor experience, not textbook lectures.
Read it free
One issue a week. No fluff. Each issue tells a real story — what happened, what went wrong, what to check on your floor — and ends with something your crew can actually use.
Recent issues include battery-fire hazards, shutdowns that never happened, and what Tennessee's botched execution can teach every workplace about preparation before high-consequence work.

Who writes Safety U?
Derrick Kinzer. U.S. Army veteran with 25+ years of combined military and manufacturing experience, including plant-floor safety and labor leadership. Soldier → floor tech → steward → shop chair → Industrial Hygiene Tech and ERGO Rep. He writes Safety U from the floor, not from a desk.
